  WarrenG. Benoit was born in West Germany, moved to the United States at age 7, and became a U.S. citizen.  His college education began in Scotland and continued at the University of New Orleans, majoring in biology and chemistry, where he met and married Norvel in 1979.   

Warren has always been active in his community, serving on the board of several non-profit organizations, starting the Kenner Optimist Club and was its chairman for many years.  He is currently Chairman of Goodwill Industries SE Louisiana and past Chairman of American Red Cross of SE Louisiana. Warren has served as chairman of Louisiana Vo-Tech College Board Region I, Louisiana Department of Insurance Advisory Education Council, past Vice Chairman of Lakeside Hospital, serves on the Louisiana Health Care Commission, on the Board of the Great Dane Club of America, and board member for Benefit Marketing Association and appointed to advisory council for Benefit Selling.

  Warren’s insurance career started in 1977, and began in worksite marketing in 1979, as a personal producer.   In 1981, he moved into management, starting the Benoit & Associates agency.  His agency has produced in excess of $300 million in premium, and as of today has collected premiums of more than $75 million.  Benoit & Associates has over 200 agents contracted, as well as over 2500 accounts with groups from 3 to 225,000 lives.  He has won numerous awards, both personally and with his agency.  He is presently licensed in 45 states. 

Warren’s most recent insurance venture revolves around being a partner for a reinsurance company in the Cayman Islands specializing in medical malpractice coverage for Louisiana physicians.
