Dean Stone*

With over 16 years in the Workers Compensation industry, Dean has worked for some of Australia’s biggest Self Funding Employers and Insurance companies.

With experience in Banking, Finance, Retail, Government, Logistics and Tele-communications, Dean has a wide range of industry knowledge.

Specialising in the containment of Claims Costs and the development of systems that reduce Workers Compensation Premiums, Dean has achieved success in minimising disputes and reducing the overall cost of claims.

Having worked across most Workers Compensation jurisdictions in Australia, Dean is well versed on the current issues in the Australian market and the challenges that the future may bring.

Dean is the President of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Licensees Association, representing a number of Australia’s largest companies who Self Fund through the Federal Workers Compensation scheme.

In March 2009 Dean presented at the International Workers Compensation Symposium in Munich Germany and is a regular presenter to conferences in the Australian market.

Dean is the Manager of Workers Compensation and Governance for the National Australia Bank, a Self Insurer in the Federal Comcare scheme.

Dean has two wonderful Daughters aged 2 and 4 years old and a beautiful wife who let him travel to California to enjoy a conference on a subject he is very passionate about.
