Daran Kiefer*

Daran P. Kiefer is an attorney with Kreiner & Peters CO. L.P.A. managing its Cleveland, Ohio office. Mr. Kiefer limits his practice to subrogation matters for health insurers, TPA, self-funded plan, and property and casualty insurers.

Mr. Kiefer is originally from Northern Kentucky area. He received his BA from Centre College in 1991 and his Jurist Doctor Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University in 1994 including serving on the Case Western Reserve Law Review. Mr. Kiefer is admitted in Ohio and Kentucky State and all Federal courts, the Sixth Circuit Court of appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Kiefer is a frequent speaker on ERISA matters involving subrogation. Mr. Kiefer has presented discussions on ERISA and subrogation matters to the RIMS convention, various Continuing Legal Education presentations, and the Ohio Judicial College, Mr. Kiefer spoke at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals conference in Austin, TX in November, 2005 regarding Health subrogation. Mr. Kiefer currently serves as a member of the NASP Amicus committee.
